Photography by High Rev Photo The sun may have set on the 2020 King of The Hammers but we're reliving all the action from the Johnson Valley trails. If you missed it this year, you're going to want to mark your calendar next year and start getting your rig ready to head out to the Burning Man of off-road racing. Check out these highlights of all the sights and sounds of KOH 2020! Ultra4 4400 LIVE FEED: It was a packed house at Hammertown near the Jumbotron throughout the entire week as fans from all over the country and world for that matter gathered to cheer on their favorite racer. The grassroots action is definitely alive and well at King of The Hammers and its only getting bigger and bigger with competitors from as far away as Australia all the way to racers who call Johnson Valley their own backyard. The competition is fierce and the racing is tougher than nails so if you're up for lacing up your boots and strapping into your weekend trail machine, this is the class for you! See all the carnage and action from the live feed of the 4 Wheel parts Every Man Challenge race! 4WP Every Man Challenge: The fastest wheeled vehicles through the harshest terrain in the world is what is known as a Trophy Truck. Since that term is trademarked, they're referred to as T1 Trucks in Ultra4. This year was the second running of the Toyo T1 Invitational and it brings the baddest machines in the world with over 1000 Horsepower, 30 plus inches of wheel travel and, high zoot AWD setups and price tags that could buy you a couple of houses anywhere in the U.S.
Toyo Tires T1 Desert Invitational: A single photo can only begin to give this event the justice it deserves. It really is an sight to behold as Rock Bouncers from the East Coast, Ultra4 racers and even enthusiasts in their weathered and battered trail rigs attempt to race their way up a boulder field as fast as possible. Lots of metal carnage, big bounces and crunchy rollover action is what you can expect to see. Holley EFI Shootout Highlights:
Lakebed Launch: As if there wasn't already a ton of action happening in Hammertown, King of the Hammers kept the action going before the main race qualifying earlier in the week with the first ever Jump Champs Lakebed Launch. While the competition definitely brought their A game, our very own 4WP Official, Blake Wilkey absolutely sent it and took home the top spot.
UTV Class: The festivities at the 2020 King of The Hammers kicked off on Superbowl Sunday with the fastest growing class in the sport, the UTV Class! Unlike the Superbowl, the UTV Race was action packed and had spectators and fans in Johnson Valley, Hammertown and online at the edge of their seat. One thing is for sure, we can't wait to get back out there and do it all over again. |
