My 2003 Chevy Avalanche Z66 came stock with these shocks. I just figured my Avalanche drove great new and it feels great with these new shocks. I rode the factory Bilstein shocks for longer then I should have, but it really wasn't a problem until recent when the front end started to really bounce and the nose would dip when you brake. I do have to say the truck does feel like the day I bought the car. Yes, it's more stable and stiffer up front, but that's to be expected. This is the way this truck felt when it was new. Taking corners and braking are more stable. The truck doesn't lean as much as it did with the old worn Bilstein shocks. So far I'm not regretting purchasing the same shocks my Avalanche rolled off the factory floor with. Time will tell, but I hope I don't have to think about replacing these shocks for a long time. I rode these original Bilstein shocks for around 18 years. Probably too long, but at the price I paid for the new shocks that's under $9 a year. Even if they don't last this long it's still not that expensive by the time they wear out.
